Werkin for the Man Redux: GoDaddy.com, Inc.
September 10, 2007 – 5:14 amIt’s been a week now since I started my new job as a Production Designer at GoDaddy.com, Inc. Basically I take designs and make them into templates for websites for a product called WebSite Tonight. So far so good. I like the people I work with and it’s a real fun, laid back environment. Best of all, I don’t have to dress up! w00t!
Bajooter is and was doing just fine and it’s not a dead company. Nay, we’ve just incorporated so now the company is officially Bajooter Corporation of which Mary and I are the primary stock holders. The main reason I took this job is because Mary and I needed a little space and Mary always comes before work. That and Steve works here.
Most folks are familiar with Go Daddy’s racey Super Bowl commercials. I hesitated to work here because of them. My fear was that the company itself would have a low moral standing and be some kind of debase party-mecca for the technologically minded. (not-really, I’m just having a little fun). Well I just wanted to make it clear that, from what I can tell, Go Daddy doesn’t operate like that. Their morals are fine, and business ethics acceptable. I’ve made no moral compromise in working here.
Last order of business: I’ve always wanted to put a disclaimer on my website and fortunately Go Daddy’s legal department has provided me with this fun little statement to adorn my blog. Hooray for legal disclaimers! Ehem:
