Nintendo, How I Love Thee

Nintendo Games

Remember the classic Nintendo days? I do. I happened across this website where you can play all the classic Nintendo games online and I was immediately enveloped in the blissful nostalgia of my youth. I remember the day we got our Nintendo, Faressa and I. We had begged our parents for what seemed a to be decade. For the longest time they wouldn’t do it. And then they finally caved!

I remember playing Mario Brothers 1–3, Mega Man, Contra, Street Fighter, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Excite Bike. Those were the days! I was never a big fan of Legend of Zelda, mostly because I could never get it figured out. But its music still runs through my head to this day! Nintendo how I love thee. :)

  2. Oh man… as though I didn’t have enough distractions as it is!!!!
This is the best find! Sooo many memories coming back… like when Super Mario 2 was just released, I begged my mom to go to the store so we could rent it. When we got to the store someone had already rented it, but it was due that day. I was so bummed. Then, as if the universe could feel my pain, as we were pulling out of the parking lot, someone hit my mom’s car. Just a minor fender bender. As we waited for the police to show up, the person who had rented the game came and returned it! I was meant to play Super Mario 2 that night.

    Awesome find Dustin!

  3. Wow. I wish my memories with video game were that joyful. All I remember is the endless cycle of

    1. steal money from parents
    2. play video game
    3. get beat up for stealing
    4. repeat

for my entire elementary school years. And yet, I’m still as fragile as a cotton candy made of my little pony hair.
