I Hope This Is The Last Home We Purchase For A While

We just signed on our new house yesterday. Although we won’t move in until the end of next month, I already feel a sense of stability. We’ve moved several times in the past 2 years and with our recent marital issues it’s just time to settle down a little.
First I got a job at Go Daddy, and now the house. I love that homes are becoming homes again and not just “investments.” There are a lot of intangibles that make buying a home worth it that Americans haven’t thought much about in the last few years, stability is one of them.

This is my first time commenting, found you via a link from my wife’s blog (missvida.com). On a sidenote, you guys seriously need a contact page.
But back to point. I just read your posts about the sippy cup and jail and all that. My wife and I fight stupid too. We know each other too well and know exactly which part of the kidney in which to stick the knife.
And though we’ve never gone to jail, I’d like to honestly say that at times, it could very well be possible.

Thanks for commenting! Marriage is a ton of work, aint it?! Don’t make the mistake I did and call the cops…that’s the “stupid way” ™. lol. Rather, what I’m learning now is that we’ve got to sort of just take it from our wives; all women are difficult (as are men). They don’t tell you that when you’re getting sold on the idea of marriage and all
but it’s true and I’ve learned that the essence of being a husband is in just kinda putting your expectations and especially any sense of entitlement aside. It’s just saying “Yes Dear, I’m sorry,” a lot. Of course I’m absolutely in the middle of this right now so I’m just getting it figured out, but then again we haven’t argued in about 4 weeks now!
