Corian Calendar

DuPont asked 40 international designers to create a genuinely functional object - a table or desktop accessory - that reflects the ingenuity of the designers as well as the design possibilities of Corian. NKD was one of 40 designers worldwide.

This is a fun little spin on a calendar. I’d say this is definitely Calendar “2.0″–in a very 0.5 kinda way. I think that if cavemen had discovered fully saturated color hues and precision cutting instruments they would have created this instead of scratching stuff on walls with rocks and animal blood.

For other non-animal-blood-and-rock-scratching (but definitely not as clever) calendars you can check out Creative Thursday. She hand makes a wonderfully illustrated calendar in limited quantities. She’s also got some really nice artwork for sell on Etsy.

  2. I really liked Creative Thursday’s artwork. I found a new blog I love. Thanks! Oh and btw…I want the “peace and love” piece of art for Christmas. :)

I also really like what you’ve done with the place. tee hee
